Devgan Rice & General Mills (DRGM) operates a sustainable and locally supportive business in the heart of the Punjab Rice Belt, one of largest rice producing regions in Asia. Located in Northwest of India, Punjab is home to nearly 6,548,292.61 acres of prime rice producing land and boasts many of the best rice farmers.  The plains of Punjab at the foothills of the Himalayas are fed by the mineral-rich, snow-fed water of the Ganges. This combination of soil and climatic conditions create unique, favorable conditions to grow the best Basmati rice. The first commercial parent Basmati was released for cultivation in 1933 and known as Basmati 370 (Punjab). We share our customers' commitment to the environment. And we've always believed in processing and distributing the finest rice possible. As a company that relies on an agricultural product, it makes good business sense.
